Backstage Secrets

Local actor, director, and now playwright, Andrew McGill, is so pleased to announce the World Premiere of his original play, BACKSTAGE SECRETS.

Andrew has been involved in theatre for more than 23 years, and is excited for this new chapter in his theatrical journey. He's been heavily involved in the Louisville theatre scene for the last ten years, and has performed all over the city, as well as Southern Indiana, Cincinnati, Frankfort, and Shelby County.

Synopsis:
It's opening night of a new musical at the Playhouse on Main in upstate New York. The theatre's resident diva, Peggy, is late for opening night, and it doesn't take long for the audience to see just how disliked she is around the theatre. When she finally shows up, tensions flare and everyone has something to say about it. As curtain time gets closer, it becomes evident that Peggy may or may not survive opening night. Is it the director, covering for past indiscretions? The ingenue who just wants her moment in the spotlight? The former Broadway star who's has a secret that's not just his own? Or, maybe it's the stage manager who has put up with her antics for too long.
This interactive play is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats right up until the end.
