Bye Bye Birdie - Tickets available at the door
The year is 1958 and on a day that came to be known as "Black Monday," Elvis Presley reported for his induction into the army. Millions of teenage girls mourned, while parents and teachers breathed a sigh of relief that this "menace to society" would soon be gone. "Bye Bye Birdie," written in 1958, opened on Broadway in 1960 with stars Dick Van Dyke, Chita Rivera and Paul Lynde playing to packed houses night after night. This musical continues to be a favorite for its beloved score featuring favorites such as "Happy Face," "Kids" and "Telephone Hour." Our cast of 27 students, across all four grades, is proud to present this play at Brava Theater, with our very own house band in accompaniment. The show is appropriate for all ages, and a guaranteed good time!
