The Idaho Energy Code and the IECC How? What? Why?
A One-Day Education Seminar sponsored by the Idaho Chapter, Construction Specifications Institute and the American Institute of Architects, Idaho Central Section.
Recent changes in the International Energy Conservation Code and the Idaho Energy Code have brought some confusion, contradiction, and perceptions of added project costs. In this one day seminar, we will go from an overview of where we are in Idaho and some of the reasons we're at this point, to the reality of field inspections of our projects.
Presenters at this seminar include:
Mr. Jerry Peterson, Energy Program Manager, Idaho Division of Building Safety
- An overview of Idaho Energy Code, the reasons we're at this point and what's coming next.
Mr. Joseph Joslin, AIA Allied, RCI, CSI, CDT, Business Development Leader
- Exterior Wall Fire Testing, Design & Compliance, and the Idaho Energy Code
Mr. Eric E. Richman, Senior Research Engineer, Energy Division, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory
- Building Lighting and the IECC - Commercial Lighting Code
Mr. Ingo Stroup, President and CEO, Building Energy Incorporated
- HERS (The Home Energy Rating System) and the Reality of Field Inspections
Registration for this event includes a continental breakfast as well as lunch.
Six one-hour sessions each carry one (1) AIA HSW Continuing Education Unit.
Join us for some insight as to what is happening, why it is happening, and how it affects us!
