SHINE ON is a community celebration concert to kick off the UNITED WAY OF BLOUNT COUNTY 2017 campaign, raising funds to support programs that fight for the health, education and self-sufficiency of every person in Blount County. Presenting sponsor is CBBC with entertainment provided by AARON TRACY BAND and Grammy nominated THE WANNABEATLES.
This family-friendly evening will begin with an invitation-only VIP reception at 5 PM. The gates will open to the general public at 6 PM. Face-painting and other children's activities will be available until 8 PM. The event features festival seating, so bring a chair! The Shed's restaurant & bar will be open for service. Concert starts at 7 PM.
The WANNABEATLES is a high-energy musical tribute band of Grammy nominated entertainers, starting a bit of Beatlemania of their own. The group has "Come Together" to create their own special version of the British Invasion. When it comes to recreating the fun and excitement of the most popular band in music history, The WannaBeatles more than live up to their name.
Professional and polished, this four-piece ensemble delivers a fun-filled variety styled show that is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Using their impressive multi-instrumental skills, they re-create all the eras of the famed Beatles songbook. The WannaBeatles offer a great alternative to look-alike bands by applying the tools of "old school" entertainment - showmanship, humor, and original material. Get ready to take a magical mystery tour filled with great Beatles standards, hilarious parodies, on stage antics, fab fan trivia, and much more. This high-energy band offers family-friendly entertainment for audiences of all ages. The WannaBeatles go where no Beatles Band has gone before - and you've got "A Ticket To Ride!"
AARON TRACY BAND can be described as All-American East Tennesseans living their life behind a beat up six-string and a classic stage microphone. A little bit of Country, a little Rock, a little Funk and a smidge of Blues. They strive to bring a new dynamic to today's Country Music. The band has a unique flavor to their music, giving the softer music a mellow, country feel and upbeat songs a more lifted and bluesy southern rock vibe.
Aaron Tracy started his music career at just 8 years old in his hometown of Louisville, TN. In 2009, he placed in CMTs Music City Madness competition and has since continued songwriting, recording, and touring across the country - playing shows from intimate acoustic sets to opening sold-out stadium crowds.
