Muggle Quidditch

Quidditch, a sport in the Harry Potter books, has inspired many people to play Muggle Quidditch, also known as Ground Quidditch, a non-magical (but yet, oh so magical) version of the game. As it is adapted from the game in the book, people have made many different versions. We have a very straightforward version that emphasizes fair play and teamwork! But just because we arent flying doesnt mean it wont be a sweaty, athletic, magical experience! Last years debut was a smash success and we hope to add more teams this year! This class will culminate in the 2nd Chicago Muggle Quidditch Cup where we will be given the option to test our skills against other youth teams!

Primary Instructor: Rick Olson

Ages: 7 to adult

Day: Mondays (additional game days may be scheduled)

Time: 12:30 pm-m1 hour 30 minutes)

Weeks: 8

Start and end date: 4/3-May 28th

Location: Pendulum Space in North Center (1803 W Byron St. #216, Chicago, IL 60613) Please note: A great deal of our classes will take place, weather permitting, outside at a nearby park)

Min/max: 8-24

Notes: This class is athletic. Please make sure your young person is dressed like an athlete. Chicago Quidditch Cup is tentatively set Memorial Day weekend (Monday, May 29th) pending park approval. You do not have to play in the Cup to join this class but our coach Rick Olson must know you are going to miss it when you register.
