After a five-year absence, Dub Mission is very proud to welcome back one of Europes finest purveyors of dub, Zion Train, to the Bay Area. Celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2018, Zion Train is one of the planet's most prolific groups. Along with a mammoth recorded output and innumerable production credits, remixes and song writing collaborations, it has produced magazines, CD-ROMs, Internet sites and built sound systems.

Zion Train was founded by Neil Perch (live dub mixing /production), in 1988. The live lineup has always been flexible, varying from Perch and a vocalist for sound-system gigs, to an extended lineup for larger events. Zion Train has played over 2,500 shows, including 14 times at the Glastonbury Festival (UK). Its long resume includes Woodstock (Poland), Madasound (Martinique), Fusion Festival (Germany), Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (USA), Rototom Sunsplash (Italy/Spain), Outlook (Croatia), Boomtown (UK), , Seasplash Festival (Croatia), Bababoom Festival (Italy), Wickerman Festival (UK), Reggae Geel (Belgium), Universo Parallelo (Brazil), Reggae Sun Ska (France), Ostrada Reggae Festival (Poland), Asigiri Jam (Japan), Woodstock Festival (Poland), Sziget (Hungary), Exit (Serbia), Bielawa (Poland), Solipse (Zambia), Universo Parallelo (Brazil), and Rainbow Serpent (Australia).  The group owns and operates its own Abassi Sound System, and runs the Universal Egg and Deep Root record labels. The group put out its earliest releases on Universal Egg, until 1995 when it signed to China Records. Zion Train released the world's first promotional dub music video for the 'Get Ready' single and caused a furor with the publicity campaign for its 'Homegrown Fantasy' album. The group has been back on Universal Egg since 1999, and had continued to release quality dub, electronic and world dance music ever since. Zion Trains latest release, Versions, is a collection of remixes of from the 'State Of Mind' and 'Land Of The Blind' albums, featuring producers from around the world including Vibronics, Numa Crew, Dubmatix, Radikal Guru, and many others. www.ziontrain.bandcamp.com/album/versions

Trumpet Player / Producer / Ethnomusicologist / DJ Will Magid's music is always a joyous affair. His unique style of live performance and electronic sampling seamlessly blends original music with sounds from across the globe. Will, who studied Ethnomusicology at UCLA, has gathered inspiration from playing music on every continent except Antarctica.  Will Magids trumpet will take you to Havana in the summertime. It will take you to a West African wedding and, simultaneously, a French dance club. It will take you to soul music in Japan, a 1920's speakeasy, then to the cusp of the end of the world, where everyones dancing because they have nothing to lose. The trumpet will holler vibrantly no matter what. And its a flexible instrument, well suited for his music production style with victorious leaps among sounds from the past, sounds from here and sounds from elsewhere. While hes devoted to his trumpet, Will is truly a multi-instrumentalist/producer.   The resulting pieces are buoyant jams packed with rich layers of celebratory horns, bouncing percussion, classical strings and even a bit of ambient noise. Will has toured and collaborated with many talented artists from diverse genres of music, such as Afrolicious, Bonobo, Solomon Burke, Erykah Badu, Pretty Lights, Kenny Burrell, Zigaboo Modeliste, Baba' Ken Okulolo, Ocote Soul Sounds, CocoRosie, Jeremy Sole, J-Boogie, and the Mutaytor. He is also the founder of the Bay Area concert series World Wide Dance Party - celebrating music traditions from around the world and social justice.   A collector of sounds, Will layers the familiar with the curious, building imaginary worlds somehow both strange and close to home. His latest releases include Gynopedie No. 1, Alligator Spacewalk, and Alligator Spacewalk Remixes.
