Response to Strife: Gorecki's Miserere
In times of turmoil, music grabs the soul and lifts it to a place of strength and enduring hope. The powerful songs in this concert express the pain of hardship and the convictions and prayers that get us through. This program features Henryk Góreckis Miserere, a 35-minute a cappella work dedicated to those who suffered from political oppression in 1980s Poland. The Chorale also performs works by Eliza Gilkyson, Dominick DiOrio, Norman Luboff and more. Join us for an emotional and, ultimately, uplifting musical experience.
