The Nutcracker Twist is the story of a little girl named Clara Stahlbaum. The Stahlbaums are having a grand Christmas party for all their friends and family. Mysterious Uncle Drosselmeyer is the entertainment for the evening, bringing magic dancing dolls and gifts for the children. He presents Clara with a little wooden Nutcracker, which she falls in love with. She is dancing with the Nutcracker when her mischievous little brother Fritz snatches it away and breaks the Nutcracker leaving Clara heartbroken. At the end of the night, after the guests depart and everyone is asleep, Clara creeps down to see her Nutcracker. When the clock sticks midnight, Clara is startled when mice appear in all corners of the room. Clara watches in amazement as the toy soldiers and her Nutcracker come to life. A battle breaks out between them and just as the Mouse Queen is about to attack her Nutcracker Clara strikes the Mouse Queen to the floor. The mice flee and the Nutcracker Prince and Clara are greeted by the Sugar Plum Fairy. The Nutcracker Prince tells the story the of night's events, the Sugar Plum Fairy becomes impressed with Clara's bravery and the Nutcracker's heroism. In their honor, the Sugar Plum Fairy throws a lavish festival with dancing and sweets. After the Land of Sweets Divertissments the Sugar Plum Fairy bids Clara and the Nutcracker farewell. Clara wakes the next morning under the Christmas Tree with her Nutcracker still in her arms.
