Too Many Cooks! featuring Brezel
November's edition of Too Many Cooks! features the wonderful women behind Brēzel. They got their start in 2008 selling pretzels at farmers markets, online, and to local restaurants. In 2011, with business booming, they opened up shop at North Market. They've since developed a strong following around town for their Bavarian-style pretzels made with a lot of love and some innovative mix-ins, too (if you haven't tried Brēzel's roasted squash pretzels or their coconut almond twists, you're missing out!).
At Too Many Cooks, Brittany - the world's leading pretzel whisperer - will talk with us about what makes Bavarian-style pretzels (or Brēzels, if you're German) different from your run-of-the-mill stadium variety. She'll also discuss how she decides which mix-ins to incorporate into her pretzels, and what her day-to-day schedule looks like when baking up so many different varieties. Finally, she and her pretzel-powered colleagues will lead a session on making pretzel pizza (who knew pretzels could be so versatile?). Attendees will each make a personal pretzel pizza and sample a pretzel dessert. Come learn about the unique twists that place Brēzel's products a notch above the rest!
Held on the second Sunday of every month, Too Many Cooks! features experts, foodies, restaurateurs, and enthusiasts who talk about their passion for food. The evening starts promptly at 7pm and the $5 admission, paid at the door, includes generous food samples. BYOB.
