Echoes of my Mind
"Echoes of my Mind"
Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at 7:30pm First Congregational United Church of Christ 1126 SW Park Ave Portland, Oregon 97205 $15 Advance Tickets $18 at the door $12 Students & Seniors Consonare opens our 7th season with music to fill every corner and heart. This evening features music for double choir and expands on the nuance and intrigue of echoes.
The full, meditative and plaintive sounds of Be Not Afraid opens the evening's concert. Consonare then delves into new and exciting territory with music for double choir. Rheinberger's Kyrie, di Lasso's Echo Song, and Echo's Lament for Narcissus by Vaughan Williams set the stage for sonic interplay that is so perfect for the acoustic of First Congregational. In true Consonare fashion, the theme of echoes segues into The Uncertainty of the Poet, previously performed by Chanticleer, jazz artist Kurt Elling and now Consonare Chorale! With echoes from both the mind and heart, the evening will resonate and surround you with enchantment.
