Mason CD Release with The Bryan Dean Trio and Tom Walbank
Mason is releasing their first full length album Midnight Road.

This heavy blues rock record was recorded in each band members home studio, mixed by Chris Robinson in Indiana, and mastered by Jason Livermore from The Blasting Room.

The modern retro style they've sculpted is reminiscent of rock music of the 60's, with Hendrix-like vocals, bracing guitar solos, Zeppelin-esque drums, and overdriven bass much like Muse or Royal Blood.

Midnight Road's 10 original tracks are all stripped-down, short blasts of blue-collar blues, heavy on the rock with some contemporary flash.

______

Bryan Dean Trio won the last Southern Arizona Blues Heritage Foundation Blues Challenge.

Each member is an honoree of Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, and Dean and Gilmore have been inducted into Tucson Musicians Museum.

They have opened for many international acts such as Kim Wilson, Coco Montoya, George Thorogood and Dr. John.

The band has three critically acclaimed albums, "Pink Elephant" and "Sobriety Checkpoint," "Live at Boondocks" and now working on their fourth release.

__

Englishman Tom Walbank studied the harp style of main influence Sonny Terry and played constantly through his twenties after moving to Edinburgh, Scotland. Here he joined blues trio 32-20 and then, with guitarist Steve O' Connor, the acoustic blues duo Hot Tamales.

He also started playing guitar around this time in the style of John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Son House and Big Joe Williams.

He has recorded ten albums and appeared on twenty others, frequently on harmonica. In 2009, he scored the movie Good Boy.

He has won best blues band in Tucson five times, best blues band in Arizona once and (with pianist Arthur Migliazza) best blues duo in Tucson once, representing Tucson in Memphis in the International Blues Challenge both times.
