3 to 1
"3 to 1" is a 24 hour project that gives three artists from different disciplines the space and resources to collaborate on a work that will be presented to an audience at two events at NU Hotel Brooklyn during the 24 hour period.
The first event is on December 1st from 6-9PM and will consist of small group visits to watch the collaboration in progress, a presentation of completed work by the three participating artists and an opportunity to speak with the artists about their experience thus far. The following morning from 11AM-1PM, there will be the unique opportunity of having brunch with the participating artists where all attendees will get to see the finished collaboration and engage in a discussion with the artists following the presentation of their work.
Tickets for this event range from $10-$25. Tickets are $20 the main event from 6-9PM on December 1st and $10 for the brunch from 11AM-1PM on December 2nd. $25 tickets are also available and will get you admission to both events!
What is "3 to 1"?
NU Hotel Brooklyn has graciously provided us with one of their Friend's Suites that will act as a laboratory and performance space for this collaboration. Directly after check-in, three artists who work professionally either in dance, theater or sculpture will collaborate for the first time. They will follow guidelines directing them to explore the unique space, project duration and inevitable artistic intimacy they will face shortly after the project commences.
