| Description |
The daily grind of sleep traffic work traffic mixed with bills, health issues, relationships, and tons of other little things put many people in a habitual state of stress, anxiety, and depression. Phil Johnson and Roadside Attraction are dragging those people out of the trenches to show them that laughing at the little issues can help them enjoy life again. Everyone is welcome at a mass renewal of laughter and music hosted by Roadside Attraction when they celebrate singer Phil Johnsons birthday at Mission City Coffee on Friday March 7th, 2008.
In talking to so many people, Ive noticed that many have forgotten how to enjoy life and experience new things, says bandleader Phil Johnson. Big issues like politics arent the big culprits. Its relationships, jobs, and the daily irritations of life that people latch onto. Roadside Attraction flips those problems on their head for a comic effect that takes the edge off. Songs like LCW say all the things that everyone always wants to say to a cheating ex. World Of Make Believe expresses the irritation of being interrupted during a good daydream by some minor office detail.
This show is also Phil Johnsons annual birthday party, one of the groups biggest events of the year. There will special guests doing music and comedy, plus a raffle.
