Student Wellness Conference
Join us for a hands-on introduction to evidence-based methods to get the most out of school, and enjoy your life while you are doing it!  Learn skills to reduce stress, increase energy, and improve your concentration.

This mini-conference will:
o  Introduce you to the benefits of mindful practice  
o  Provide ideas and techniques you can take home and put to work right away

The Student Wellness Conference is presented by Campus Health, Campus Recreation, and Residence Life.

TOPICS
o  Understanding stress and its effects on you
o  An overview of ways to reduce stress
o  Mindful movement for relaxation
o  Touch-points for pain reduction, energy, and alertness
o  Conscious breathing exercises to help you "come back home"

PRESENTERS
Student members of the Mindful Ambassadors of Counseling & Psych Services at UA will lead you in simple and fun exercises for relaxation, refreshment, and renewal.

Lead presenter: Holly Durr, Student Assistant for Residence Life. Holly joined the Mindful Ambassadors program in 2015 and has been delivering interactive mindfulness workshops in residence halls and around the UA campus ever since. She also works with Residence Life to coordinate free yoga programs and stress management resources for students. Holly is in the final semester of undergraduate studies, earning her Bachelor's degrees in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, Deaf Studies, and Linguistics.

MODERATOR
Stuart Moody, M.A., Trainer, Mindful Ambassadors, Campus Health.  Stuart is a certified Somatic Yoga instructor, and has taught yoga and meditation to thousands of individuals, including teens, civic leaders, college students and professors, prison inmates, and community activists.
