Isotope Comics University: Course in Self-Publishing
Taught by Ed Luce (creator/publisher of "Wuvable Oaf" and professor at the California College of the Arts) this intensive, five Saturday workshop will cover a wide range of topics essential to successfully self-publishing your own comics project!
Each week we'll discuss a specific issue and how it relates to your own work, including Comic Design & Construction, Printing Processes, Merchandising, Social Media/Promotion and Conventions.
Confirmed guest speakers include:
-Ron Richards, tastemaker behind popular fansite iFanboy.com and editor of Image Comics' "Hell Yeah" series.
-MariNaomi acclaimed author of "Kiss & Tell, A Romantic Resume Ages 0-22", published by Harper Perennial.
-Alex Woofson, creator of the hugely popular "Artifice" web comic and Kickstarter campaign.
-Justin Hall, editor of "No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics", published by Fantagraphics, as well as his own "Glamazonia" and "True Travel Tales" books.
-James Sime of Isotope Comics, one of the masterminds behind the recent landmark MorrisonCon event and all-around comics expert.
The class runs from 1-3 pm Saturdays: November 10, 17 and December 1, 8 and 15.
