Laudate Pueri - Baroque and Classical Music for Treble Voices

Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley
Kensington, CA

Our season features sacred music written for young and treble voices, including Dresden Baroque composer Adolf Hasse's "Miserere," composed for the girls of the Venician Ospedali convent, and Johann Michael Haydn's "Mass for the Feast of the Holy Innocents," written for the boy choristers of the Saltzburg cathedral.  We will also showcase several lesser-known, stunning compositions by female composers from the Baroque and Classical periods, including Margarita Cozzolani, Marianna Martines and Lucretia Vizzana.  Voci will be joined throughout the concert by the Jupiter String Quartet.
