Wild Ponies - Friday June 2, 2017
A "movable" Flying Cat Concert Propylaeum Carriage House 1410 N. Delaware, Indianapolis, IN 46202
Wild Ponies: Americana roots duo Doug and Telisha Wililiams, based out of East Nashville, the new Bohemian Mecca of the South. Like their namesake, Doug and Telisha are a restless sort, and more than anything, they call the road their home.
After moving away from their families in Virginia, Doug and Telisha spent a year as homeless troubadours, and finally settled in East Nashville, TN a couple years ago. Since then, theyve become a central part of their community, hosting Whiskey Wednesdays, a weekly radio show on East Nashville Radio, and if theyre not on the road, playing at The Family Wash and other local spots.
Theyve traveled from Florida to Oregon and Michigan to Texas, hitting 48 US states and six Canadian provinces, captivating audiences with a magnetic and stunning stage presence. In their songwriting, they tell stories about old time religion, superstition, rundown bars, gravel parking lots and boarded up factories. There is something mystical about the connection of their hauntingly dark songs and their quick wit and fearless delivery that make every show original and personal.
Doors open at 6:45 pm, Concert starts at 7:30 pm
