CORDAGE FROM PLANTS
Saturday, October 14 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Before there were zippers, buttons or velcro, there was cordage made from plants. A simple skill, people made it on the spot from materials at hand for millennia. You too can learn to make cordage from plants such as basswood, willow and milkweed. Cordage combines nicely with beads to make simple bracelets and necklaces. We'll have some beads and simple clasps to try or bring your own (with large holes). Whether you're into survival skills, natural jewelry or getting in touch with your paleo roots, join us for a fun afternoon. The instructor is Joan Jacobowski, Wisconsin Master Naturalist.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT REQUIRED BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13 Program Fee: $12/person. Hunt Hill Members: $10/person.
