Native Plant Walk & Talk Saturday, March 4, 10:00 am -11:30 am Ages: 10 and up $2 per person, please register in advance
Native plants support local insects, birds and other animals. The concept is simple: native plants have developed together with the soil, climate and animals of our region. They support each other which means they can withstand the elements with less maintenance than many non-native plants. Naturalist Ed Dominguez will provide more insights to the benefits of native plants as he leads you on a tour of Seward Park's familiar, and maybe not so familiar, native plants. Ed can also answer garden questions ahead of our Saturday & Sunday March 11 & 12 Native Plant Sale.
