POST APOCALYPTIC CABARET - An East Bay Circus Festival About the Days After the End of the World! at Kinetic Arts Center
Kinetic Arts Center's Post Apocalyptic Cabaret runs November 30 Dec 2, 2012 and then it's gone. Forever. One Weekend Only!
Kinetic Arts Center, home to Circus Spire Youth Troupe and prominent professional circus performers and coaches, is located in the heart of the East Bay and the center of the exploding circus arts movement in Oakland. Kinetic Arts Center is producing Post Apocalyptic Cabaret to offer today's world a show reflective of the circus cabaret world after Dec 21st.
As if the world ending wasn't exciting enough, Post Apocalyptic Cabaret will apply creative, end-of-the-world appropriate, adjudicated, festival-like awards to the event. All acts will compete in categories like 'Most Apocalyptic' and 'Most Likely to Succeed After the Apocalypse' or 'The Best Last Clown Standing.' Award prizes include $350 of canned Spam (to get folks through the first uncertain days post apocalypse) and several boxes of protein bars (or cash equivalents) and others we haven't thought of yet.
