Walmartopia, The Musical
Bartell Theatre Madison, WI
Walmartopia (n): A future so scary it must be stopped!
Don't miss the latest musical comedy by Catherine Capellaro and Andrew Rohn, creators of Temp Slave, The Musical. When Vicki, a struggling WalMart employee speaks out about the company's working conditions, she is jettisoned into 2035, where she faces the ultimate nightmare: an America run entirely by the retail giant. Capellaro and Rohn used news stories about Walmart realities to shape this absurdist comedy. Features a live band and original songs. Join us this December to see if Vicki can save the day!
"The outrageous songs and dance numbers, performed in blue-and-silver Wal-Mart vests, delight the people in the audience, who laugh, clap and holler throughout the show. The night's performance ends with a standing ovation." -- Wisconsin State Journal
Note: Walmartopia is an all-ages show that runs approximately 2 hours, including one 15-minute intermission.
Student and Wal*Mart Worker discounts are subject to availability and are only offered through the Bartell Theatre Box Office. The Bartell Box Office opens 1 hour before curtain. Full price tickets are also available.
