Kalashraya Dance Festival
The Kalashraya Dance Festival celebrates Indian classical dance. This specially curated event brings together two of the leading talents on the Indian classical dance scene today.
This year, Janaki Rangarajan and Rahul Acharya will present "Samavesha." Samavesha is a creative confluence of artistic minds and styles. In this unique production, the dancers traverse between the rhythmic dynamism of Bharatanatyam and the lyrical grace of Odissi to highlight a common thread between them. The lyrics have been drawn from a variety of literary sources. In addition to collaborative pieces, the dancers will also present solo pieces in their own styles.
