North Star Fund raises funds from activist donors to support community organizations at the front lines of the struggle for equality, economic justice and peace.
Over the past 30 years we have raised and granted more than $26 million to 2,000 community organizationsorganizations with the courage and deep understanding that it takes to build local leadership and challenge the root causes of injustice.
North Star Fund is a New York City area community foundation that supports work that has national and global influence. Our goal is to create change beyond charity. We focus our grants where the need is most urgent, and the potential impact the greatest. Our strategic areas of support are:

Ensuring Economic Justice
