In Reinventing Eden, Jonas is a geneticist who is about to be honored for his life's work. But on the eve of this recognition, dark family secrets are revealed.
Twenty years earlier, Jonas tampered with the genes of his unborn, second son in order to insure that he not be born with the same special needs as his first son.
Reinventing Eden raises complex and controversial questions about our innately human desire to give our children a better future, ultimately asking "should anything stop us from creating perfect babies?"
Jonas must now answer a lot of questions from his colleagues and family - not the least of which is: "when you make the perfect baby, do you love the less-than-perfect one, less?
