Harlem Ambassadors vs. Safe Kids North Shore Safety Nets basketball fundraiser
The fun begins at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, (with doors open at 6:00), when the Harlem Ambassadors take on the Safe Kids North Shore Safety Nets in a fun-filled evening of basketball showmanship. This event will take place at the Traverse City Central High School gymnasium. There will be an opportunity to win an autographed basketball, participate in a 50/50 drawing, purchase Ambassadors keepsakes, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. A limited number of tickets are available for this event, which supports local Safe Kids North Shore programming throughout Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Benzie counties. Don't miss out! The Safety Nets team consists of Fire, Police, Military, School, Church and other local leaders. Come and see Chief Pat Parker of Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department; Patrick Cudney of Michigan State University; Chief Jim Tuller of Traverse City Fire Department; Sheriff Tom Bensley of the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Department; Pastor Justin Grimm of Advent Lutheran Church; Liz (Shimek) Moeggenberg from Glen Lake representing Stonyfield Construction & Stonyfield Acres; Deputies Chris Whetstone & Kyle Kitzmiller of Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office Corrections Division; Dave Murray of Grand Traverse County facilities; Dan Cunningham of the U.S. Army; Dr. Nick Orow & Dr. Taylor Thelen of Munson Family Practice Residency; Mike Hill of TBAISD; and more!
We will have local referees; Clint Kerr and Nate Ritter; The national anthem will be sung by Miriam Pico; Dave McGinnis of Tallships will be the scoreboard operator.
