French Choral Music:Sacred and Profane
The Oratorio Singers of St. Andrew's-Wesley is a chorus of 50 singers that focus on small and mid sized oratorio. This season they will present a varied programme of music from France and beyond.
The first half will be non-sacred choral selections by Debussy(France), Ravel(France), Poulenc (France) and Lauridsen (USA).
The second half will be sacred music from France featuring the Messe de Requiem by Camille Saint Saëns with the Notre Père by Maurice Duruflé.
The choir will be accompanied by a quintet of strings, 2 harps, trumpet, piano and organ (Michael Molnar) with leader, Nancy DiNovo.
Soloists are Benila Ninan, Melanie Adams, Martin Sadd and Andrew Greenwood.
