The Honorable Newell Arnerich, Mayor of Danville, will be our guest speaker for our October breakfast meeting. Mr. Arnerich is both a long time business leader and community leader in the Tri-Valley area. We are pleased to have him both address our group and join in our networking breakfast.
Please note that in order to accommodate a larger attendance this month, the breakfast meeting will be moved to the Crow Canyon Country Club.
Please join us for our October meeting as Mr. Arnerich presents: *A Mayor's View of the Tri-Valley Business Opportunity*

The Tri-Valley Area is an interesting mix of innovation hub and bedroom community - acting as a gateway between agricultural open space and a major metropolitan area. While many thrive and prosper, professionals in our region also experience the economic challenges of this era. Mr. Arnerich will provide his view of the future of the Tri-Valley Area and the opportunities presented for businesses and consultants.
Mayor Arnerich was elected to the Danville City Council in 1995 and elected Mayor in 1999, 2004 & 2008. His community involvement with the Town of Danville includes serving as chair of the Tri-Valley Affordable Housing Committee, five and a half years on Danville's Architectural Design Review Board, five years on the Danville Planning Commission and past chair. Regionally, he serves as the vice-chair of the Tri-Valley Transportation Committee, Danville's representative to the Association of Bay Area Governments, ABAG for eight years, served on the Tri-Valley Affordable Housing for ten years, and currently serves on the Tri-Valley Transportation Commission, Contra Costa Transportation Authority, and Southwest Area Transportation Committee dealing with issues affecting Contra Costa County and the Tri-Valley areas. He is a passionate advocate for providing quality public education.
Mayor Arnerich holds bachelors and masters degrees in architecture and urban design from the University of California, Berkeley. For the past 33 years he has been a professional architect who is the principal owner and serves as President/CEO of an ad architects firm with offices in Oakland and Los Angeles.
He is married to his wife Janis for 36 years, an elementary school principal in Orinda. Together they have two children, who are both graduates of San Ramon Valley High School. Their daughter is an E.R. Nurse, completing her master's degree and their son is serving in the United States Marine Corps.
