Chess Club Comedy / The Day Terrors
Chess Club Comedy is a sketch comedy collective that has gained notoriety on the internet over the past 8 months. Our sketches, which include "Icebreakers", "Guess" and "Topless Scene", have amassed over half a million hits on YouTube in the short time they have been available and been featured on Tosh.0, College Humor, Funny or Die, MTVu and as an official channel on Broadway Video's new internet venture called The Above Average Network. Chess Club is no stranger to live performance, as the group is mainly made up of performer/writer/director alumni from NYU's premier sketch comedy group Hammerkatz NYU, and have been featured at The PIT and the Upright Citizen's Brigade among other comedy venues in New York City both as individuals and as a group. Chess Club Comedy brings hilarious sketch comedy to both the stage and screen and continues to gain a devoted and excited fanbase. One of us got recognized in Disneyland, guys.
Chess Club Comedy was founded by David Sidorov, Matt Rogers and Danny Jolles, but also features several of our friends and collaborators in contributing roles. |

We perform a mixture of fully fleshed out bits, black out sketches, character pieces, monologues and hosting bits. We're funny, fun, upbeat with a dash of weird thrown in for good measure.
