Dedrick Weathersbys "Praying While Staying Committed"
Henry Melonie has been lying to Margaret for 22 years about the affair with his only daughters (Vanessa) Mother. Margaret Melonie has held a horrible and unchangeable grudge against Henry; but her hatred is expressed towards Vanessa behind closed doors for many years. The next couple is Deacon Jones and Tina Smith which we call the sugar daddy couple. A Smart and psychological thinking Tina gets over on an older but vulnerable Deacon Jones; in recently losing his wife to cancer, Deacon is searching for the next wife to fill the void in his heart. As Deacon comes to his senses things will never be the same for the annual Thanksgiving dinner. The last couples are Brian and Cindy Cornell, the mental troubled couple; both individuals have never cheated on one another, but their Love has taken a turn for the worst because of materialistic power. Cindy is broken and torn for the continued lost of their unborn children. Brian has fallen out of Love with Cindy due to his male ego and "His Money" As the story unfolds for each couple, will they remember their vowels to each other and God; or take matters in their own hands?
East Texas Award Winning Writer, Actor, and Director: Dedrick Weathersby transforms this story to an entertaining and inspirational stage play with take home messages. His prayer is to rebuild marriages and spread light on the power and fullness of marriage with unconditional commitment.
