Designing Interactive Workshops
Moving participants from passive spectators to active and engaged learners should be the goal of every workshop presenter. Learning how to do so will be the focus of this three-hour learning lab on Designing Interactive Workshops.
Prior to the workshop you'll need to invest 30 minutes in preparation, reading a short article introducing the design concepts and identifying a workshop (topic, likely audience) you'd like to practice designing during the lab.
The first portion of the workshop will be a facilitated large group effort applying the design concepts to a workshop on how to do workshops (go figure).
The second portion will be time for you to work independently (with my coaching) on applying the concepts to your selected workshop and receiving feedback from another participant.
The final portion of the workshop will be open Q&A, an opportunity for you to get specific questions answered and to receive additional practical tips.
You'll receive an annotated list of additional resources as a takeaway to further support your future workshop design efforts.
To keep these learning labs intimate and hands-on, registration at each site is capped at 15 participants.
