The 2017 YOU Awards International
The YOU Awards International is a non-profit organization that was specifically designed to provide support and recognition to young people who have stood out in their communities, but have not been truly celebrated. Every day we as a society are flooded with negative images and stories everywhere we turn. It is this organizations goal to bring to the forefront more positive images and stories. We do this by seeking out extraordinary young people through research and recommendations from individuals, the community, schools and other organizations and then we honor these extraordinary young people. Our award recipients are honored with a trophy and monetary gift (merit award) during the annual awards show. These individuals are recognized for their accomplishments in 7 categories. These categories include Education, Sports, Business, Arts, Entertainment, Technology and Community Services.
The founder started this organization after several amazing years of volunteering with an internationally known awards show. She has always loved the idea of recognizing people who have stood out in the world in their respective fields of work. Her thought was to take this concept to the another level and recognize young people who may be considered ordinary because there may not be great fame associated with them (yet), but are exceptional in their everyday accomplishments.
As an organization we enjoy hearing the stories of young successful people and what their journeys have been to get them to where they currently are. It is refreshing and gives us all hope for an even brighter future! Ultimately the goal of The YOU Awards International organization is to have the annual awards show televised one day. This would show other young people around the world that doing your best can really take you places.
The founder came up with the organizations name because we wanted to recognize YOU! The Y.O.U. in the name represents Young, Outgoing & Uplifting individuals. We believe that young people are truly our future and they deserve our support and acknowledgment. Help us make a difference in every young life we touch by showing your support for this organization.
