Today the question of what to eat is a big one...a plethora of choices amidst a vast array of fad diets and things on the "Do Not Eat" list. The Omnivore's Dilemma written by author Michael Pollan is about the increasing conundrum of what to have, or better yet, what not to have for dinner. Should it be vegan or grass fed meat, fast food or slow, supermarket or farmers market, local conventional or organic from the other side of the world? The list goes on and the opinions are vast and often collide.
On Thursday, October 18th, 2012 Amber Antonelli of The Naked Bite and Carol López-Bethel of Swirl Wine Consulting offer a fun exploration of conscious possibilities for the modern diet. We invite you to share in our interpretation of The Omnivore's Answer, a delicious and playful evening following Micheal Pollan's creed "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants".
The event will take place on the covered-patio of a lushly landscaped private home where you will enjoy: a welcome drink with a small bite and five bountiful courses which highlight organic and/or sustainably produced ingredients in raw, vegan, vegetarian and animal protein presentations. Each course will be paired with a limited production wine crafted by Pali Wine Co. an artisanal winemaker from the California Central Coast. Come indulge with us while learning and sharing your thoughts on the present and future of the way we eat.
Cost per person is $120 including gratuity. Seating is limited. The menu will be determined based on the best and most delicious of the season!
