PADDLE FOR CLEAN WATER
in the 3rd Annual
Flathead Lakers Poker Paddle
on Sunday, July 9, 2017 (Noon to 7pm)
Human propelled watercraft start from Kings Point and paddle a short (1.6-mile), middle (3.6-mile), or EXTENDED DISTANCE (5+ miles) course to five designated island stops in The Narrows of Flathead Lake collecting one playing card at each location.
* Prizes are awarded for the top poker hands. * Each player receives a commemorative gift. * Picnic after-party with music by Highway 93. * Silent auction. * Early Bird Discount ($25 off) before May 31st. * LIMITED TO THE FIRST 150 PADDLE CRAFT!
This is not a race, as players are building the best poker hands.
During registration, consider joining the Flathead Lakes for a total price of $100, a $125 value!
Proceeds benefit the Flathead Lakers education programs and community work to prevent the spread of invasive mussels, promote clean water practices, and inspire future watershed citizens.
RULES AND TERMINOLOGY
Vessel: Type of watercraft to be used (kayak, canoe, paddle board, etc.). Pre-qualified swimmers may participate and must supply their own kayak support. Vessels must be "sea worthy" and are subject to approval by the event director.
Player's Hand: Each participant collects a playing card at each stop to build the best possible poker hand. Players receive a tournament gift, picnic dinner, and an invitation to the after-party.
