| Description |
50 Bucks, 50 Hours! Rapid Filmmaking ATL Style! Registration Fee for single registrants who want to participate and build their own team with other individual participants who want to participate but don't necessarily have their own team already organized. Single registration Fee is only $10 per person! This contest is open to professionals, students and amateurs of all ages and team sizes. $50! Single registration is $10.00 per registrant. Single registrants will come to the kick-off and check in at 6pm and will be placed a on a team at that time. Single and Team registrations are non-transferable and non-refundable. Registration closes at 10pm, Wednesday, February 27, 2008) There is no age limit for participants, but Team Captains must be at least 18 years old.Team Captains will be responsible for completed film submission, and must bring both the receipt from Brown Paper Tickets and any other required paperwork to the kick-off.Teams may use any type of video or film camera(s) and may spend as much or as little money making films. 2) The Top finalists (winners with the highest score from one or more IMAGE screenings) will have their films programmed in the 2008 Atlanta Film Festival with other eligible RIM films from the November 2007 RIM competition. By winning a program slot with other RIM films, you are also eligible for additional select prizes (such as editing or other production software) and/or awards that will be announced during the film festival.
3) Additionally, teams who finish and turn in their films in the 50 hour period and participate in the public screenings will have their films uploaded and streamed online for an additional wild card online voting competition of which 2 addl films will advance to the Rapid i Movement finals and be programmed with other eligible RIM films (top finalists from the IMAGE screening competition and other select notable works) in the 2008 Atlanta Film Festival. In addition, winning films will also receive 2 Atlanta Film Festival filmmaker badges ( a value of $500) that offers access to their screenings and other screenings/events held throughout the 2008 11 day film festival. |
