2012 Dinner and a Murder
Welcome mystery fans to our 6th almost annual Dinner and a Murder fundraising event which benefits the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP).
RSVP makes a difference you can see and feel! Last year, our local RSVP provided nearly 70,000 volunteer hours in Jefferson & Clallam counties. RSVP members serve at museums, courthouses, Chambers of Commerce and a wide range of social service, non-profit agencies and events.
They perform satisfying and demanding work mentoring children and adults, helping at food banks, providing assistance to senior nutrition programs, serving at health care facilities, assisting local law enforcement offices and fostering environmental awareness.
It is in tough times like these when the act of volunteering is most critical to maintaining the vitality of our communities. As public funds diminish and nonprofit organizations struggle, the need for RSVP services grows. We need your financial support more than ever to maintain a solid program. Please consider purchasing several tickets to this annual event. Business owners, this makes a wonderful business Christmas party.
This is the sixth year that RSVP has partnered with the Port Townsend Mystery Group. This group of young and more mature amateur actors donate all their time and talent to the causes and of RSVP and we are deeply grateful for them.
This year's show promises to be great fun. We're doing a classic Agatha Christie style train mystery, with a twist. We'll be blending video with the live performances for a truly unique experience. All of this, and you get a gourmet dinner to boot.
We promise you an evening of fun, laughter, and fine dining so please join with us on November 30th or December 1st @ 6:00 PM in the Oscar Erickson Building at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
