EXPLORING THE SEASONAL COLOR+TASTE PALETTE
Join Sasha Duerr and Kelsie Kerr at Gospel Flat Farm in Bolinas, California for a full-day workshop of exploring the seasonal color and flavor of fall.
Spend the morning making and using seasonal plant dyes and tasting the diversity of locally farmed and foraged ingredients. You will learn to create a full spectrum of the unique fall color palette with Sasha, and dye an array of stunning take-home plant dyed textiles. Kelsie will lead a produce tasting highlighting local fall produce.
Begin the lunch hour with an aperitif and weed walk to learn about edible dye-producing plants in the wild, and then sit down together for a delicious lunch featuring produce and dye plants from the local farms of Bolinas. The day will end with a community color installation dyed with the same ingredients.
Our FALL COLOR+TASTE PALETTE WORKSHOP is the first of PERMACOUTURE INSTITUTE's FOUR SEASON SERIES - Three more unique seasonal sessions will be offered to savor slow textiles and the biodiversity of color and taste throughout the upcoming year.
