Andy Happel
Join us Friday September 21st at 7PM as local musician and friend Andy Happel performs in concert. Tickets are $12 in advance($15 at door).

A dedicated violinist and composer, Happel teaches as both a private and group instructor at the 317 Main Street Community Music Center in Yarmouth Maine. Certified in the Mark O'Connor American String Method, Happel plays instruments including the violin, viola, cello, piano, guitar, mandolin and ukelele.

Andy is lead producer for PARMA Recordings based in North Hampton, New Hampshire, specializing in new classical composition. As lead producer, he works closely with composers, conductors and performers from all corners of the globe to achieve world-class performances and recordings. As a post-production engineer, he edits, mixes and masters final audio for PARMA artists.

As an accompanist, Andy performs with the Pihcintu Multinational Children's Chorus of Maine (including a recent appearance on the Today Show). One of Andy's productions for the Pihcintu Chorus will be released on the Putumayo World Music label in 2012 and will be available at Starbuck's worldwide.

Andy had the distinct honor of presenting a TED Talk entitled, "Synchronicity: Music and the Perception of Time" at TEDxDirigo: Engage at Hannaford Hall, USM Portland, May 2012.

In November 2012, Andy will make his debut as guest soloist with the Portsmouth Symphony, where he will perform "The Fiddle Concerto," by Mark O'Connor. In what promises to be truly a night to remember, Thanks to Gravity will join Andy and the Portsmouth Symphony onstage for this momentous occassion.
