LIVERMORE - The Emperor and the Nightingale
Remember the gentle Hans Christian Andersen tale in which the musical sounds of a nightingale charm an ancient Chinese emperor. The blissful kingdom, however, is disturbed when an ornate, artificial bird is introduced into the emperor's court and becomes the favorite. Recommended for grades K-5.
