Ashoka Seattle's Youth Venture Bootcamp is a one day interactive event where undergrads will learn all the ins and outs of social entrepreneurism. Participating universities include: University of Washington, Seattle University, Western Washington University, University of Puget Sound, Seattle Pacific University, and others.
Participants leave with:
1. An innovative Business Model 2. A plan and tools to profile their customers more accurately 3. A clear understanding of their business model, its strengths and weaknesses, and can articulate it well 4. A clear, concise and powerful pitch for their venture 5. Develop metrics to measure their social impact
Here is a brief outline of the day:
9-10am - Social Entrepreneurship 101 10-10:30am - Root Cause Analysis 10:30-11am - Market Analysis and Hypothesis Mapping 11-12pm - The Heart of a Business Plan 12-1pm - Keynote speaker and Lunch 1-2pm - Creative Business Models 2-3pm - Messaging for Success 3-4pm - Outcomes: Make It Count
