92 mins. Germany (2016). DCP Projection. German w/ English subtitles.
Germany in the 1950s: After World War II, the German government is still full of former Nazis in powerful political and judicial positions. Amidst this rotten structure, Hessian Solicitor General Fritz Bauer tries to bring a stop to the frequent cover-ups of Nazi crimes. However, it remains a lonesome struggle. The Secret Service is openly working against him. Despite the odds, Fritz Bauer plans his coup: The arrest of former SS-Obersturmbannführer (Lieutenant Colonel) Adolf Eichmann, who had fled to Argentina after the war in 1945. However, after Eichmanns successful capture, Fritz Bauer does not cease to track down other exalted politicians of state. His next target is the closest confident of Chancellor Konrad Adenauer.
