Advocacy for Nonprofits
This session will be a hands-on opportunity to practice and hone your advocacy and lobbying skills for the benefit of your organization. Attendees will leave the session with a clear understanding of how to be more effective at influencing public policy.
Rick Anderson, presenter of the seminar, works part-time as the Senior Public Policy Coordinator for Washington Nonprofits. He is also a principal at FLT Consulting. Rick has 17 years' experience working with the Washington State Legislature as a non-partisan committee staffer and as a contract lobbyist to nonprofits. Last year, he served as Legislative Director for a USAID parliamentary strengthening program in Kosovo.
