Classes Start October 18th (and continue Thursdays, 7:30-9 pm, for 5 weeks)
Cupping (October 18th) --Learn how to hone your sensory skills, descriptors and the techniques the pro's use to evaluate coffee quality.
Roasting (October 25th--Learn through hands on instruction the basics of coffee roasting from green bean sourcing to the chemical processes that occur when energy is transferred from heat source to bean.
Brew Methods (November 1st)--Learn the fundamentals of brewing using a variety of equipment, including french press, pour-over, espresso, Aeropress and siphon brewer. Learn the fundamentals of water, grind, dosing and temperature and how they effect the cup.
Espresso (November 8th)--Learn through hands-on instruction, the processes and components of proper expresso extraction. Students should gain a good understanding of how these variables interact with and effect the final product.
Latte Art (November 15th)--Learn through hands-on instruction, the tricks and techniques used by the master to steam milk and pour basic latte art.
