2012 - REC LEAGUE - Level 2 - Fall
Let the Gotham Girls Roller Derby coaches help you to develop your roller derby skills! If your basic roller skating skills -- form, crossovers, stops, starts, and safe falls -- are already strong and you are ready to add some contact and learn the game, then this is the class for you!
We will teach roller derby contact, build on derby fundamentals, and introduce some scrimmage-style drills. Women and men are welcome at this class!
You must have your own skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet, and mouthguard. In addition, all participants will be asked to provide proof of ONE of the following types of health insurance:
-Primary health insurance OR
-WFTDA insurance OR
-insurance through USARS membership
Level 2 consists of four weeks of classes on Saturday mornings at our Crashpad. There are no drop-ins; you must sign up for the full course since the classes are cumulative. The cost is $100.
Please also note that we reserve the right to cancel this class with one week of notice in the case of insufficient interest.
**Tickets are NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE**
