Braiding Wisdom Winter 2017 Series: Birds as Messengers - Observing, Listening and Watching for the Signs
We will explore bird behavior, bird as symbols in various cultures and in mythology and how they are can be listened to as oracles for our journeys. I have had the hawks leading me on my journey of permaculture and teaching the last 10 years. Many other birds have come to me and offered me signs and directions. Let's explore together how that might happen and what that might be like for you.
Kate Heiber-Cobb has been a practicing Eco-Feminist, Eclectic Witch for 41 years. She was part of a coven for 20 some years and has practiced with other groups and solo over all of these years. She is also a Permaculturist and founded and coordinates the Madison Area Permaculture Guild. She has a small consulting and design business called Sustainability On Stilts, LLC and teaches regularly at Madison College and other locations around the region.
Braiding Wisdom was envisioned and created by Kate Heiber-Cobb (me) in 2014 and manifested in 2016 with a Summer Series of classes. This is the second series and offers up some wonderful teachers and classes for everyone's enjoyment. Last summer many connections were made that carried on outside of the 2 hours spent together. That is braiding community and was part of the vision.
This class takes place in a beautiful wood yurt in Monona. We offer a sliding fee scale. You can pay the low price here online or pay the day of class with cash, check or card.
