Kilgallen/Jones
In the early 1960s, crime writing was serious business and nobody took it more seriously than journalist, gossip columnist, and tv personality Dorothy Kilgallen. By 2017, she is largely a distant, mysterious memory until 19 year old Alexis Jones stumbles across her story and the questions which surround it. Following in the footsteps of Sarah Koenig, Alexis launches her own podcast seeking to solve the mystery of Dorothys life and death, and finds herself pulled into the murky history of the trailblazing, enemy-making Kilgallen, alienating everyone close to her. Living by what she believes to be Dorothys Code of Conduct, she gets closer than may be wise to unraveling one of conspiracy theorists favorite subjects -- but at what cost? Part real life mystery, part fiction, KILGALLEN/JONES explores our timeless human desire to investigate and glamorize death, and the real and imagined consequences which follow.

Allison Page (Playwright) is a writer/actor/playwright/Artistic Director of San Francisco sketch comedy company Killing My Lobster. She is originally from northern, rural Minnesota, has been in the Bay Area for eight years, and spent most of her early 20s as a hairstylist trimming mullets in a Walmart. Her writing has been featured in Women of Letters, Write Club SF, Shipwreck, The SF Olympians Festival, SF Theater Pub and others. Her published works include HILARITY, a full length drama about comedy, and an autobiographical piece titled Dear Philosopher in Airmail: Women of Letters from Penguin Australia. She's currently working on a book of essays about all the mistakes she's made so far.
Ellery Schaar (Director) is the Artistic Director of Repurposed Theatre in San Francisco. Her NY directing and producing credits include Most Massive Women Wins Access Theatre, Quickes 13th Street Repertory, In the Shadow of The Lighthouse Tomorrow's Gold New Work Series eyeBLINK productions, One Act Play Festival Keagan Theatre Company, Evolution of the Bitch Fresh Fruit Festival 08, They Call Me Q! NYC Fringe Festival 2013 *Encore NYC Fringe Series: Solo in the City! to it's Off Broadway run at ST. Luke's Theatre. Ellery associate produced the national collaboration Come As You Are! Celebrate Queer Sex! at Brava Theatre San Francisco in co-production with Bostons Theatre Offensive. Come As You Are was a national celebration of the riots at Stonewall and pieces were performed through the United States including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Seattle, Alaska and Portland. Since creating Repurposed Theatre she has both produced and directed two world premieres: Drowning Ophelia by Rachel Luann Strayer and The Horse's Ass and Friends by Megan Cohen. Most recently Ellery directed Dystopia a full length musical with the female sketch comedy troupe Chardonnay at Piano Fight. Ellery holds a B.A. in theatre and dance from the University of California at San Diego.
Marie O'Donnell (Dorothy Kilgallen) originally hails from Detroit, Michigan and has been in the Bay Area for almost 7 years. Favorite roles in SF include Deb in Hilarity at the Exit Studio, Sister Mary Acacius in The Divine Sister, Sally Truman in Lips Together, Teeth Apart, Helene Nadler in The New Century and Etta Poore in Anita Bryant Died For Your Sins at the New Conservatory Theatre Center. Prior to that, she performed in comedy shows in Los Angeles, co-wrote and performed The Kim & Marie Show at The Producers Club Theatre in New York and was a regular performer on Late Night With David Letterman.
Sarah Brazier (Alexis Jones) is an actress from Akron, Ohio. A recent transplant to the Bay Area, Sarah previously worked as a drama teacher at St. Mary's Hall in San Antonio, Texas where she directed and assistant directed several student productions including The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Barbecuing Hamlet, and starred in the award winning indie short film Louisa (Alexia Salingaros Films). She is both a nationally recognized and award winning Speech & Debate coach and former competitor. Sarah has worked in theaters in Iowa, Ohio, and Kentucky. Past credits include A Christmas Carol and The Crucible (The Repertory Theater of Iowa) Jumah Cola Time to Drink (The Corporate Surrealists of America), The Importance of Being Earnest, and Romeo & Juliet (Weathervane Playhouse). She most recently appeared as Amanda in the comedy Women in Jeopardy! at CenterRep.
Lauren Andrei Garcia (Rae) was born to a viraginous, Filipina woman and a green-thumbed Mexican man. She is fire breathing dragon herself. She is writer, professor of nursing, and full time burrito huntress. She is excited to perform with her all woc sketch comedy troupe Granny Cart Gangstas at SF Sketchfest 2017 and to direct her first piece at Bindlestiff Studios. George Coker (Gordo) Coker is a Bay Area native who fell in love with the performing arts at a young age, but took a while to pursue incorporating them into his life. Since, he has worked as a performer in San Francisco, the East Bay, and Paris. He likes doing on camera work when he's off stage.
Gregory Scharpen (sound designer) is a Bay Area-based sound designer, film editor, radio dj, and musician. He has been the resident designer for Berkeley's Central Works Theatre Ensemble for two decades, and has contributed sonic augmentation to productions by Shotgun Players, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, TheatreFIRST, Christina Augello, and numerous others. His work has garnered a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle award, and several Theatre Bay Area Award nominations. He edited the Emmy-winning documentary series "Have You Heard From Johannesburg", "Al Helm: Martin Luther King In Palestine", and the forthcoming features "The Whistleblower of My Lai" and "Buchla." Under the name Thomas Carnacki he records and performs vaguely unsettling music, and has performed as part of festivals and organisms like the Illuminated Corridor, the Whitney Biennial, Activating The Medium, and Project Soundwave. He produces a number of programs on KALX 90.7fm, including "Artsinreview", "Film Close-Ups", "Discourse on the 8th & 9th", as well as a weekly dj program. He was a co-founder of the Oneiromantic Ambiguity Collective, but very few people particularly care.
