Bemidji Symphony Orchestra presents "Music & Change" Bemidji High School Auditorium Bemidji, MN
The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Beverly Everett, will open its 2012-2013 subscription concert series "Tunes & Topics" on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Bemidji High School Auditorium with the concert "Music & Change." Doors open for seating at 2:30 pm.
The program features Brett Drevlow in Capuzzi's Concerto for Double Bass and Brayden Drevlow in Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor. Brett and Brayden Drevlow are brothers from Thief River Falls and have become two of northern Minnesota's prominent and promising young talents in classical music. Also on the program are Barber's Essay No. 1 and Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony. Join Dr. Everett immediately after the concert for a post-concert conversation.
Tickets for the concert are available at the door or in advance at Lueken's Village Foods North, Brigid's Pub, or online at brownpapertickets.com. Prices are $20 for adults, $15 for senior citizens 62+, and $10 for college students with ID. Students grades K12 are admitted free.
Season tickets may be purchased at the door on the day of the concert for $60, or through the BSO website at www.bemidjisymphony.org/tickets.
