Harpsichord manufacturing is one of Stoningtons hidden treasures!. For more than 40 years, Stonington has been a center of harpsichord production, and home to Zuckermann Harpsichords International, the largest harpsichord workshop in the United States producing historically accurate instruments based on antiques. This keyboard instrument originated in the 15th century and after losing popularity in the 19th century experienced a revival amongst early music enthusiasts in recent years.  Both musicians, Dupré la Tour and Zamolodchikova work at Zuckermann Harpsichords International and will perform on a harpsichord donated by the company.
Dr. Dupré la Tour holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the Julliard School and works as the Music Curator for Zuckermann Harpichords, and Ms. Zamolodchikova specialized in historical keyboard performance at Julliard School before joining Zuckermann.
Partial funding for the concert has been generously underwritten by a grant from Dime Bank.
