At Tippet Rise, we take great pride in offering uniquely intimate concert settings for audiences of fewer than 150 people. To facilitate this vision and allow as many people as possible to experience music at Tippet Rise, each household is limited to 4 tickets per concert for up to a total of 6 concerts for the 2017 Season.
In their Tippet Rise debut, pianist David Fung and cellist Joshua Roman join forces with violinist Caroline Goulding, who returns to Tippet Rise for her second season. The trio will perform pieces by Robert Schumann, Ludwig Van Beethoven and the Czech composer and folklorist, Leos Janácek, including Janácek's Piano Trio Kreutzer Sonata. Composed over just two weeks, the sonata was inspired by Leon Tolstoy's novella by the same name, which was in turn inspired by Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 9, also known as the Kreutzer Sonata, Op. 47.
