4th Annual Community Adult Spelling Bee (Political Edition!)
Intown Concord presents the 4th Annual Community Adult Spelling Bee on Thursday, September 27th at the Capitol Center for the Arts; doors open at 5:30 pm and spelling commences promptly at 6:00 pm. For the first time ever, the 2012 Bee has a theme: POLITICS! There will be raucous fun had across the aisle, as politically decked out teams compete in the fast-paced competition, working their way through the list of politically connected spelling words. Decor, celebrity judges, + activities will all be part of the political theme.
The light-hearted spelling exhibition includes (25) teams of three, some new and many returning. Past winners of the coveted "Capital Region Best Spellers" award include Parker Academy (2009), Sulloway & Hollis' "Sulloway Spellers" (2010), and the Concord Chorale's "B-Sharps" (2011).
The Bee helps fund Intown Concord's downtown programs, events, + initiatives.
A $10 donation treats Bee goers to delicious food provided by the Concord Cooperative Market's award winning Celery Stick Café. Bring your checkbook or debit card, as there will be some fun + exclusive local adventures to bid on in a live auction throughout the evening...
