Prince tribute - Peter Keyes sings the music of Prince
Commemorating one year since the untimely passing of the artistic genius, this concert will be a full on celebration of Prince's life, legacy and music. Accompanied only by his acoustic guitar, Peter's powerful voice and expert guitar playing will fill the Theatre with the soulful strains of Prince's music. Sacramento's 24th Street Theatre will provide a most spectacular backdrop for this event. Every seat in the house is a good seat. All ages admitted, one night only.
Peter Keyes (rhymes with eyes) has been a professional musician since his arrival in Sacramento in 1985. Peter studied guitar with world celebrated virtuoso Joe Satriani. Keyes has performed with a diverse roster of local and regional acts, including the Dave Russell Band, the Kenny Frye Band, the West Nile Ramblers, and A Touch of Magic Mowtown Tribute. A huge Prince fan, Peter sings and plays the music in a style strikingly similar to the genius himself. "Losing Prince has been very, very difficult for us fans," says Keyes. "On the anniversary of that terrible day, I want to get together with the Purple Family and sing his songs loud and proud, together. Please join me on April 21st at the 24th Street Theatre, and let everyone know how much you love Prince!"
